SoloContigo Supports Art Basel, Miami

The SoloContigo wine team had a fantastic week during Art Basel 2014. Our sponsorship of the SoHo Beach House Art Basel tent was a great success with SoloContigo Torrontes being one of only two white wines available by the glass for celebrities and their guests throughout the week. The final evening at the Soho Beach tent featured Win Butler from Arcade Fire spinning electronic music in collaboration with live bongo players.

We also sponsored an Art + Vision with Cirle at the historic Moore Building in the Design District, which was attended by 85 VIP Art Basel visitors. Guests sipped exclusively on SoloContigo Premium Malbec and Torrontes.

Our owners showed support to our clients during their visit to Miami by dining at each of the following restaurants and hotels, all of which carry SoloContigo wine: Porfirio’s, MC Kitchen, La Gloutonnerie, The Dutch at the W Hotel, Soho Beach House, Cecconi’s, La Mar at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Oak Tavern, Meat Market, 27 Restaurant and Bar, EDITION Hotel, and The Thompson Hotel.

We look forward to growing from our experience at Art Basel to continue supporting the efforts of the artists and galleries that contribute to the diverse and ever-changing international art community!

Cheers!

When Soho House hotel members head to their favourite retreat in any of five North American cities, a glass of SoloContigo Wine will be there to welcome them.

By-the-glass and by-the-bottle pours of select SoloContigo wines at Soho House dining rooms and bars across the continent are giving a coast-to-coast profile to the brand. The wines will soon be offered at Soho House hotel clubs in five cities. These include Soho Beach House in Miami, Soho House New York, Soho House West Hollywood, Soho House Toronto and the soon to be opened Soho House Chicago.

In April, the company answered the call for a premium wine partner at a Soho House event during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California. Coachella, the indie music happening of the year, showcased SoloContigo Sauvignon Blanc and Torrents.

SoloContigo wines will continue to be featured during upcoming events at each of the Soho House properties. For instance, SoloContigo will be highlighted at the Frieze Art Fair in New York in May, at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, at Art Basel in Miami Beach in December and at the next Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA.

Each House is slightly different depending on its location, but all offer comfortable accommodations, dining and lounges to like-minded, creative people. “We are very pleased that Soho House members will be enjoying our wines,” said Ladas.

The Soho House agreement builds on SoloContigo’s growing national distribution strategy, says Chris Ladas, National Sales and Marketing Director for SoloContigo. The wine company also has an agreement in place with STK Steakhouse Restaurants across the U.S., which is set to start in July 2014.

Celebs Sample SoloContigo at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

SoloContigo Wines joined A-listers, alt musicians, assorted celebrities and pals at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in mid-April. SoloContigo helped welcome assorted guests to the Soho Desert House at a select site in La Quinta about 10 minutes from the show stages.

The chic refuge from the desert heat took up temporary residence at an estate chosen for its convenience and privacy, transformed to reflect the design of existing Soho Clubs.

Solo Contigo joined Bacardi and Peroni as the exclusive beverages served on the menu of wines, spirits and beers. Three bars at the Soho Desert House offered tastings of SoloContigo Sauvignon Blanc 2011 and Premium Malbec 2011.

“The brand recognition was off the charts, with all the people who saw and tried the wines,” said Chris Ladas, national sales and marketing director for SoloContigo, who was on hand to help present the wines. “This was the coolest oasis in the desert.”

Plans for a ground breaking winery that features a premium art gallery and subterranean barrel room have been approved for construction by SoloContigo Wines of Mendoza. Work on the new winery is now underway, with February 2015 forecast as the completion date.

Award-winning architectural firm Bormida and Yanzon of Mendoza was contracted to design the new winery. It is responsible for setting new standards in the creation of distinctive, modern wineries in this renowned wine region of Argentina.

Blueprints for the SoloContigo winery include a tasting room with spectacular floor-to-ceiling views of the vineyards and the nearby Andes mountains. The gallery is a unique inclusion that will showcase works by international artists. Argentine artists will also be featured, and the mediums represented will encompass sculpture, paint, photography and more.

“We believe this will be a distinctive addition to the Mendoza winery community, combining the art experience with the art of winemaking,” said Noel Neelands, president of SoloContigo Wines.

The SoloContigo winery will be built within a winery village in Mendoza. Mendoza has been recognized as one of the world’s top destinations for winery tourism, with an increasingly popular tour route that draws wine enthusiasts from around the globe.
